What happens when I give blood…

by Beav on September 24, 2007

A few weeks back I had to have some bloodwork taken. After a couple unsuccessful attempts on my right arm, they tried once and failed. They then sent me to the “special veins” table because they were struggling.

They sent over their “vein” expert and after trying once on each arm again, finally she got my left arm to produce the needed blood. But this was the result a few days later.

Ironically the “special veins” table was right next to the cots for the people who just passed out. So I’m proud to say I endured about 6 failed needle insertions while being faced with those who had buckled under the pressure. I hope I don’t have to do any more blood work for awhile.
