Beav, my big brother
Used to torture me often
I still love him lots
I love my brother
Beav – unlike any other
a gift from above
Beav, ISTJ
Father, Husband, Brother, Son
Shoes on Feet Always
Beav, My first born child
a child who has taught me much
Grateful and Blessed I am
A place of safety
Beav with his loved family
Faithful husband, Dad
“Hibernation”
The Bears are sleeping –
But hear their Cubs now stirring,
And spring will soon come.
“Bro”
He’s loyal to fam,
And loved by Bo, Mo, and Bubs,
Find him at McD’s.
You make me smile, laugh, hope, cry
I love you on your b-day
I loved these Haiku’s and their “live” performances by their authors. But maybe my favorite moment was at the end when Christine asked Morgan if she wanted to do one too. She surprised everyone by saying “yes.” She stepped up to the “stage” and then without much preparation delivered the following spontaneous “Haiku”…
What a moment. It blew me away that she had been paying attention to the theme of the poems and she did a short 3-line poem herself that sounded very similar to everything she had heard. She totally amazed me and I think we were all blown away. So cute.
It’s hard to put words to this kind of moment for a dad and his 3 year old daughter.
In the spirit of expanding this theme from my family to my friends at large, I invite you to contribute your own “Beav” Haiku if you are so inspired
No pressure though
