So here’s where I betray my Gen X foundations. A certain demographic of you will probably appreciate this. Another demographic will just think I’m a loser. To each their own

Apparently Destro from G.I. Joe has read “A Failure of Nerve” or has been sneaking in some systems theory in between attempts to achieve world domination. What a classic statement about anxiety in leadership.
I decided to load up some old school G.I. Joe while I was on the treadmill to see if it was as cool now as it was back then and came across great wisdom from Destro. It wasn’t quite as cool, but it was still pretty awesome.And I’ll risk mockery by giving an extra word of commentary on G.I. Joe. If you are of my generation, you will remember that Cobra Commander was the biggest weenie of all cartoon enemies and it is to him that Destro utters these words. It is quite evident that if it weren’t for Cobra Commander’s “Failure of Nerve” Destro would have taken G.I. Joe down and conquered the world. So the lesson is sometimes it’s good that leaders have a failure of nerve, otherwise they could take over the world.Yo Joe.And just to prove that you can find just about anything on the internet….
