Two inspirational Dilberts for you today. The first – speaks to themes I’ve posted about regarding leaders making decisions without doing due diligence to get the right information for decision making. This affects strategic plans, personnel decisions, and many other situations. No leader has all the info., that’s not the point. The point is being able to identify the obvious and best sources of wisdom for your decision. This seems to be a long lost skill as people tend to rely on traditional or old knowledge or their own viewpoint. Basically, their “research” into their decision making could get erased and wiped out and it really wouldn’t make a difference anyway.
And the second is awesome – leaders love to talk about empowering their people, but it’s often a case of be careful what you wish for when those people start leading and taking initiative. Love this!
Good way to end the week – I recommend subscribing at dilbert.com because you can draw a lot of wisdom from the office satires.
