Leadership Coaching

Life is hard.  Leadership is hard.  Change and transition are hard.  There is no shortage of barriers that may be discouraging or hindering you in your progress toward the dreams that you have for yourself.

Are you stuck?  Confused?  Restless? Unsure of where to focus your time and energy next?

Do you feel overwhelmed and alone in trying to tackle major personal or professional changes that you are convinced you need to make for a more effective or fulfilling future?

You don’t have to do it alone!

One of the great benefits of coaching is having someone who can skillfully guide us through the big moments and seasons of life, but in ways that empower us to remain in the driver’s seat of the process – where our values, dreams, and possibilities are drawn out in ways that allow us to see possible paths forward into the known.

As your coach, I can help empower you to…

Discern, Decide, and Direct Yourself

…towards the high-leverage change that you want to see in your life or leadership.

Coaching Can Help You…

Discern:

Reach clarity about your values, goals, and vision for yourself through good questions and intentional reflection.

Decide:

Focus your priorities and energies towards a clear target and own your story.

Direct Yourself:

Develop a clear path forward towards your vision and take action that yields progress and change.

Experience and Credentials

I have worked in leadership development for over twenty years, several as a Director of Human Resources and Leadership Development. I have two Masters degrees related to organizational leadership and leadership development and a Ph.D. in Peace Studies, which focused on leadership communication and conflict across power and diversity in leadership contexts.

I have taught coaching at the Master’s level for several years, getting certified as a personal development coach through Leader Breakthru. I also obtained certification in Managing Leadership Anxiety coaching through Capable Life, which is a form of coaching that coaches others through chronic anxiety and emotional maturity in challenging life relationships and leadership situations. I’ve done hundreds of hours of training and casework in conflict coaching and mediation and working on additional certifications in the mediation realm.

I have worked in multi-ethnic or multi-national contexts for over 15 years, including living in Asia for 8 years and teaching in an international graduate school in Manila for over 10 years as a Professor of Leadership as well as in Peace and Conflict Studies. I’m currently living back in the United States.
